Constitutional norms, the Law on Education, the National Program on Training Personnel and normative acts adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers serve as a reliable legal basis in this regard. However, in today’s rapidly changing world, intense competition in the global market and the growing demand for highly qualified personnel require further reforms.
The new Law Project of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education”, developed by a working group of specialists and experts from ministries and departments, is currently widely discussed by the public.
Also on February 6, 2020, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education” in the new edition was widely discussed at Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh.
The event was led by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan M.Jumanov. The event was attended by a member of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Sports of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy of UzLiDeP M.Ibragimov, Rector of KSU, Professor A.Reymov, Academician J.Bazarbayev and others who noted in their speech about special attention, which is devoted to the fundamental reform of the education system, the acquisition by our children of modern knowledge and skills at the level of world standards, their physical and spiritual development, their abilities, and emphasized that effective development work is going on intellectual potential and enhancing the sense of devotion to the Motherland.
Rectors and heads of all universities of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, representatives of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, deputy ministers of public education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, heads of district education departments, school directors, representatives of the Ministry of Pre – school Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, officials of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, scientists and professors – teachers expressed their opinions and proposals on the Law Project on the issue of science, education, culture and sports.
